1. One hears, reads, or in some way, gets the hint of the Concept of Oneness. It strikes the right chord. You want to know more about this wonderful idea. You begin to seek everywhere for more information. With hard work you really get an insight into it. 2. You are fortunate enough to find out about the Four Keys and the Impersonal Observer. It is hard practice because it goes against everything you've ever been taught. Sometimes you feel like giving up. You're amazed to find out that people are so deeply conditioned. And just when you think you're doing rather well, crap floats up in your mind that you didn't even have the least idea was there. 3. Wessel (the Four Keys) begins to be easy, and the Impersonal Observer has become permanent and integrated. 4. You develop "metaphysical humor" and often laugh at the tricks of the ego, and of the Old Mind. Whatever arises out of the depths of your minds, you simply observe, never confront, or struggle, and if by chance you catch yourself so involved, you laugh, admit it, and sing a song of how the wind blows. 5. You have deep insights now into the nature and structure of Reality. The Ground of Being is. There's found to be no difference between Mind and Ground of Being. 6. Action and reaction, patterns the structure of Time and Motion, Matter and Energy. All facets of ONE. 7. One day it dawns on you that you are not alone. There is someone who responds to your every thought and action. Surprise! It is your own Bright Self that arose out of the Eternal Now the very moment you became AWARE. 8. With a shock you realize that a great PAYMENT is required of you if you would go all the way on the Path. It is the Great Sacrifice. Its implications stun you but you know that it must be begun. It might take years to finish it, but the PRIZE is of such greatness that there is no other choice for you. 9. A time comes when the Sacrifice is finished. The First Great Merging takes place. The Second Great Merging begins, and when fulfilled, becomes the avenue of the Third Great Merging. Your AWARENESS survives. You turn and embrace your Bright Self and there is perfect UNION. Your Adventure has just begun. |
