| 1. Objects Needed: |
a. A yard of twine, cording, or yarn. |
b. A handmade doll (cloth is best in this instance) or something you have made to represent the situation. |
c. A chant of binding (that you have composed). |
d. A candle (to seal). |
| 2. Things To Be Mentioned In The Chant: |
a. Name of the person (or situation, or circumstance). |
b. Why they deserve to be bound. |
c. How long they will be bound. |
d. The words of The Binding are to be chanted as you slowly and carefully wind the yarn around the doll (or object). Then, candle wax is spilled on the ends of the yarn to hold it firmly in place. |
e. Tell how you are protected against reprisal by the one you have bound (or the situation, or the circumstance) and by whom (which aspect of the Goddess). |
f. Put the doll (or object) in an envelope or small box, and, in code on it, the name of who (or what) and when. Put a sign of the Goddess on it, also. |
