Beltane
(The Adventure Of The Sun)

                       HIGH PRIESTESS:
Behold! He cometh!
Out of the East He comes!
His face with glory
Shines upon the earth

(Pause)

Behold! He cometh!
Our Bright Lord
In joyful mood
Prancing!
Dancing!
Out of the East He comes!

                                   MEMBERS:
Prancing!
Dancing!
Out of the East He comes!

                       HIGH PRIESTESS:
The wind whispers:
Kernunnos!
Lord Kernunnos!
Kernunnos!
The birds sing:
Taruos!
Golden Bull!
Taruos!

(Pause)

The animals call:
Golden One!
Kernunnos!
Golden One!

(Pause)

And all men say:
Behold! He cometh!
Out of the East He comes
Prancing!
Dancing!

                                   MEMBERS:
Prancing!
Dancing!
Out of the East He comes!
Ayea!
He Comes!

                       HIGH PRIESTESS:
Our Bright Lord
Looks upon all
With the kindest love
He knows no sorrow
Nor wish any

(Pause)

The Three Grey Cranes
Love our Lord
They know all sorrow
But they wish none
So---they dance!

(Pause)

Dance now
My loves
While you may
The seasons turn
Now is the time
To joyfully play!
Away! Away! Away!

The High Priestess grabs hold of a man's hand and he does the same with a woman, and she likewise another man, and thus, until everyone is linked, and then the High Priestess leads the College in a follow-the-leader dance around the area for 5 or 10 minutes, and then, the dance ended, the High Priestess goes again before the altar.

                       HIGH PRIESTESS:

May the joy of
Our Golden Lord
Be upon you!

                                   MEMBERS:
And you also, Lady!

(Then the Feast.)
